Doing yoga and pilates are probably one of my favorite types of exercises while I am pregnant. It’s not too intense but you still get a good workout and stretch! You don’t have to worry about getting all sweaty (well, maybe sometimes!) but I find it to be so relaxing. It has helped me to relax my body more and be more prepared for a calm home birth!
Why is yoga and pilates important?
- Develop a peace of mind and find more unity with baby
- Improve posture
- Learn breathing techniques
- May improve sleep and may reduce stress and anxiety
- Develop strength and endurance for labor
