Pregnancy Yoga/Pilates Exercises – YouTube Videos

Doing yoga and pilates are probably one of my favorite types of exercises while I am pregnant. It’s not too intense but you still get a good workout and stretch!  You don’t have to worry about getting all sweaty (well, maybe sometimes!) but I find it to be so relaxing. It has helped me to relax my body more and be more prepared for a calm home birth!

 

Why is yoga and pilates important?

  1. Develop a peace of mind and find more unity with baby
  2. Improve posture
  3. Learn breathing techniques
  4. May improve sleep and may reduce stress and anxiety
  5. Develop strength and endurance for labor
